This simple test for color blindness consisted of a collection of “Berlin Wools” and was typically called "Holmgren’s Worsteds" or "Holmgren’s Wools" or "Wollproben nach Holmgren" (see also Zimmermann, 1912, Nr. 105 and Stoelting, 1931, No. 650). There are different versions of this test but this one appears to be the original Holmgren series of 100 colored wool skeins. They came loose in a box with metal tags that defined their color. |
