Bachelor´s degree at the University of Pennsylvania at the age of nineteen and master´s degree three years later; 1886 doctoral degree from Johns Hopkins University under Granville Stanley Hall; 1888 chair of Experimental and Comparative Psychology at the University of Wisconsin, where he immediately set about organizing a psychological laboratory; retired in 1927, accepting the title of Emeritus Professor; 1927-33 lecturer at the New School for Social Research, New York City; president of the American Psychological Association in 1900. |
