Donders and I. van Deen in Mulder's laboratory; 1847 Privatdozent in physiology and anthropology at Heidelberg; 1854 resignation; 1856 professor of physiology at Zurich; 1855 editor of the journal Untersuchungen zur Naturlehre des Menschen und der Thiere; 1861 professor of experimental physiology and physiological chemistry; 1879 professor at the "Sapienza" in Rome, later senator. |
