Höber studied medicine in Erlangen, where he received his M.D. in 1897. From 1909 until 1933 he worked as Adj. Professor and, later, as principal in Kiel. In 1933, he was dismissed from work owing to his Jewish origin. As a result, he fled to England and emigrated to the United States of America in 1934. Only a few research works and publications in the field of molecular cell research are known.
