All six editions of Wilhelm Wundt's (1832-1920) renowned Grundzüge der physiologischen Psychologie from 1874 to 1911 are now online in the library (English Translation of the 5th edition by Titchener: Principles of Physiological Psychology, 1904).
Also new in the journal section of the library: the complete Zeitschrift für Psychologie und Physiologie der Sinnesorgane (1890-1906).

Henning Schmidgen was awarded the Paul Bunge-Prize 2010 for his contributions to the historical study of scientific instruments and the Virtual Laboratory.

The Virtual Laboratory now provides online in the
journal section the complete
Zeitschrift für physiologische Chemie
from 1877 to 1921.

The library now provides historical audio material
from the Phonogramm-Archiv (Berlin), and offers a selection of
films from the 1930s, created mainly for
teaching purposes.
A new search feature has been added to the library: the new
full-text search is based on automated
OCR on a constantly growing corpus of selected sources.

On May 12th and 13th, the workshop A glance in to the
prime of Prussian culture: Karl Friedrich Schinkel's «Blick in Griechenlands Blüthe»
and Prussian cultural narratives around 1820 will be held at the
Max-Planck-Institute in Berlin.

On May 5th and 6th the Experimentalization of Life Project
organized the workshop Introspective Self-Rapports: Shaping Ethical and Aesthetic Concepts 1850-2006 at the Max-Planck-Institute in Berlin.

The Virtual Laboratory is now based on an entirely rewritten code.
Though not everything is completely finished yet, this new version
has so many new features and much richer content, that we decided
to go online now. We are still working on it, so please be patient
if you come across some things that do not yet work or look as they should.

- The «Technology» section
has been completely reorganized with subcategories of selected important
instruments.
- The Library offers new access to more than 3,500 complete bibliographic
references concerning the private
libraries of two eminent scholars, i.e. Johannes Müller and
Wilhelm Wundt.
- A new feature is our Encyclopaedia module.
A growing collection of original contributions highlights important issues
in systematic form, relating at the same time to the various sections of the VL.
