See a description and a graved version of the shown experiment in Nichols, 1893. See also the Magic lantern on another photograph from the Harvard Collection. There are two devices on the Harvard photographs, that match Münsterbergs decription "77. Apparatus for mixing colors by the combination of colored gelatine papers. After Münsterberg, by Elbs, Freiburg", which is attached to the front of the "Magic Lantern". One apparatus for mixing colors is shown on another photograph of the Harvard Photographs. The one that is shown here, can be seen in the Harvard Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments. The handheld instrument has not been identified so far. |
